Will hybrid cloud drive GCP adoption?

Hybrid cloud strategies are fundamentally reshaping enterprise IT decisions, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) stands at an interesting inflection point. Where GCP potentially outmaneuvers competitors is in data-intensive hybrid scenarios. Consider a manufacturing company with legacy factory systems generating terabytes of sensor data daily. They can’t move production systems to the cloud, but they desperately need advanced analytics. GCP’s BigQuery Omni enables querying data across clouds without moving it, while Vertex AI brings machine learning capabilities to wherever the data resides. Google’s global fiber network provides a hidden advantage in hybrid architectures. Through Cloud Interconnect, enterprises can establish dedicated, low-latency connections between on-premises data centers and GCP regions. For latency-sensitive applications like financial trading systems or real-time collaboration tools, this dedicated backbone makes hybrid feel less like a compromise. The Cultural Hurdle

Despite technical capabilities, GCP faces adoption challenges rooted in enterprise perception.
